About Wanderhouse

Why we built Wanderhouse.

We’re Maria and Joe Keene, the husband and wife team behind Wanderhouse.

Wanderhouse was born out of our own experience of buying and selling. Photos and floor plans showed us what a home looked like, but not how it felt to move through it. Was it really as spacious as it seemed? How did the rooms connect? Would the layout work for us?

The only way to answer those questions was to view in person, which meant juggling viewings around work, children, and estate agent and vendor availability, only to rule some homes out within minutes of walking through the door. And when we were selling, every viewing meant getting the house show-home ready with two young children and a labrador. So much of that time and effort could have been saved if people could properly understand a home before viewing it.

So we built it. Wanderhouse recreates real spaces as lifelike 3D environments that people can step inside and explore for themselves, choosing where to stand, how to move and what to inspect, from wherever they are.

Today, we remain closely involved in every project, from planning and capture to the finished experience. We care about getting the details right because Wanderhouse was built to answer the questions that photos and floor plans leave behind.
