About Wanderhouse

Our story

A quiet path winding through open woodland in the New Forest

Maria and Joe Keene, the husband-and-wife team who founded Wanderhouse.

The idea came to us during a family holiday in the New Forest.

Like a lot of people, we had spent years buying and selling houses. We had also booked plenty of holiday lets for our family and repeatedly found ourselves asking the same questions.

Is it really as spacious as it looks? Will the layout work? Does it feel like somewhere we would enjoy spending time?

Photos and floor plans helped, but they never quite answered the questions we actually had. That got us thinking there had to be a better way.

What followed was several years of designing, building, testing and rebuilding the technology behind Wanderhouse. It took far longer than we first imagined, but we wanted to create something genuinely useful rather than rush out another standard virtual tour.

Today, we remain closely involved in every Wanderhouse project and care deeply about the quality of what we deliver.

We begin by discussing the space, its audience and what you would like the immersive preview to achieve.

We then agree the scope, arrange the on-site capture and create the finished preview.

The on-site capture time depends on the size and complexity of the space.
